Orthopedic Center of Florida (OCF), recognized nationally and locally as leaders in the medical field of orthopedics since 1986, is proud to announce Andrew M. Belis, D.P.M’s electoral position as Second Vice President of the Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA), an organization dedicated to promoting the importance of podiatric healthcare. On January 15, 2016 at the Science and Management Symposium in Orlando, the FPMA elected and announced the list of executive officers for 2016 including Dr. Andrew M. Belis, a member and former Secretary of the association.
Dr. Belis, a partner at Orthopedic Center of Florida states, “It’s an honor to be serving as an executive officer again this year. As second Vice President, my duties entail assisting the President and serving on the Executive Board recommending membership growth.”

Dr. Belis, a partner at Orthopedic Center of Florida in Fort Myers, Florida, is a double board certified foot and ankle surgeon who treats all types of foot and ankle conditions in both the adult and pediatric population. He is a pioneer in his field and specializes in Achilles tendon problems, sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, ligament repair and bunion correction. Dr. Belis is one of the few podiatrists in the country who has attained double Board Certification in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. He is a national educator and lectures around the country to both Podiatrist and Orthopedic Surgeons teaching cutting edge surgical techniques.
In addition to serving multiple committees with the FPMA, Dr. Andrew Belis is actively leading and participating in fundraising events that have benefited Golisano Children’s Hospital, Meals on Wheels, Wounded Warriors, National Kidney Foundation of Florida and many other foundations in southwest Florida.
