Dr. Harmon graduated from John Carroll University obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree prior to attending medical school at LECOM in Erie, Pennsylvania, graduating from each with honors. Following medical school, Dr. Harmon went on to complete his five year orthopedic surgery internship and residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation/South Pointe Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. During residency he was granted and served as an Assistant Clinical Professor for Ohio University College of Medicine. Following residency he completed a one year fellowship in Adult Reconstruction of the Hip and Knee at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dr. Harmon is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, The American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and The International Congress for Joint Reconstruction. He is an experienced instructor of the Anterior Total Hip Replacement procedure, teaching this technique to other surgeons both locally and nationally, and is a contributor to developing research in this field.
With the goal of a rapid recovery for each patient, Dr. Harmon provides a caring and compassionate treatment plan which emphasizes conservative treatment measures prior to surgery.
